Watashi's World
As my first year in University is about to come to a close. I can honestly say I have learned a lot. Which is why I think this anime hit home for me. A Non-Traditional Story Masaaki Yuasa's anime "The Tatami Galaxy," which is based on the novel by Tomihiko Morimi, has a distinctive and non-linear narrative structure. A college student named "Watashi" (which translates to "I" in Japanese) who feels stuck in a loop of regret and wasted opportunities serves as the story's anonymous protagonist. Watashi makes decisions in the parallel universes he lives in, and each episode depicts a new reality to highlight the effects of his decisions. The show deftly investigates themes of destiny, free will, and the never-ending pursuit of happiness. The Magical Dorm Room Tatami mats, vivid characters, and limitless possibilities characterise the shared dormitory room, which serves as the series' central setting.
